CHICAGO, Illinois Ð January 26, 2009 Ð Dave Butts has been promoted to vice president of information technology for Recaptured Energy Technologies.  In this position, Butts will be responsible for the vehicle systems development and technology solutions functions of the company.

ÒWe are delighted to include Dave in our management team,Ó said Sam Jones, president of Recaptured Energy Technologies.  ÒHe has extensive experience in developing decision support systems and network platforms that will be extremely useful as Recaptured Energy grows and expands the application of our unique energy solutions for fleet, commercial and transit vehicles.Ó

Butts has twenty-eight years of experience in computer systems development and business technology integration.  Prior to joining Recaptured Energy, Butts successfully utilized his skills to develop, build and expand decision support and business process integration hardware, software and network platforms for Fortune 500 companies.

Recaptured Energy has developed a unique hydraulic braking and propulsion system that captures wasted brake energy and converts it to an auxiliary source of energy to power the vehicle.  The result is lower emissions, less engine maintenance and, most importantly, reduced fuel consumption.  Because the system is designed to be retrofit to existing vehicles, there is no need to purchase new vehicles that may not provide anticipated fuel economy.
